Birgit Nevala

For the past 9.8 years, Birgit has worked for Finnfund, where she works at the Finnpartnership programme. She has been the Programme Director of Finnpartnership since 2017. Her previous experience includes being a Development Cooperation and Communications Manager and a member of the executive group at U-landshjälp från Folk till Folk i Finland. Development projects included teacher training colleges, vocational schools, biogas projects, farmers’ empowerment groups and child aid projects in Mozambique, Malawi, Angola and India. Previous experience also includes being a small business owner and a lecturer at the Helsinki Open University.
