(Update on 2nd June. Performance now available on YouTube -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKSjdqlg-6k)
‘Nobody knows about tomorrow’. A cliché statement until you replace the ‘nobody’ with ‘Africa’. Africa Knows About Tomorrow. Vibrancy, Youth, Colour, Diversity, Food……. everlasting abundance. Rebelliously untamed yet mellow and forever accommodating. Is it her hope in adversity? Is it Africa’s unwillingness to keep the sun below the horizon?
What informs the Africans of tomorrow in Finland? They will embrace the Finns without abandoning their identity, they will speak the Finnish language without losing their accent, they will not succumb to being othered, they will stand tall in a snowstorm and bask long in the summer sun.
By 2050, one in four people in the world will be African (World Bank Blogs)…. let that sink in for a minute.
Think Africa is live at the 2021 World Village Festival! Bringing you “The Future is Africa” extravaganza. A performance that portrays the rising spirit, the celebration of cultures, and the coming together of diverse people.
